LETTER: Safety measures needed at crossing

I am emailing again because of another encounter with this crossing.

Pedestrians are ‘blind’ to motorists, especially from West Street to The Forum, and complete concentration is required when attempting to drive over the area - in both directions.

When I emailed the first time I received a reply from a Mr Bicknell who basically said that as there has not been an incident so far then nothing needed to be done.

Well from my perspective and others I have spoken, to both drivers and pedestrians, prevention is better than cure.
