My thanks must go first to you very generous people who put your hands in your pockets, purses and wallets, including those little children who came in with pocket money.

We couldn’t have done the job without the help of Swan Walk management - amazing people! - Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and all the businees, shops, pubs, schools, and even market stalls.

Of course, a great big thank you to the distributors, packers, street collectors, ‘donation station’ servers and counters - you are very special people.

Thank you also to Garry Mortimer-Cook and his event team for the extra publicity and arranging the shop for me with Gill Buchanan of Swan Walk and David Copestake, chairman of Horsham Branch Royal British Legion.

Also to be thanked is the West Sussex County Times for the enormous amount of space taken up promoting our charity - the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

For those who would like to know, the area cover is Horsham, Roffey, Southwater, Christ’s Hospital, Rusper, Faygate, Rudgwick and new this year with a warm welcome are Broadbridge Heath.

Thank you all very much, and we’ll see you next year.
