Show-stoppers

I WOULD like to congratulate all the children who took part in Spotlight on Legends at the Windmill, Littlehampton, last week.

The show went with a swing from the moment the curtains opened, with brilliant performances and smiling faces from everyone.

A wonderful array of songs included Holding Out for a Hero, with the boys posing as Superman, which was hilarious.

There were very good vocals on Superstition and rousing performances of Radio Ga Ga, Handbags and Glad Rags, Starmaker and Footloose.

The Saturday performance came to a slightly sad close when it was announced that Judy Murton would be retiring from Spotlight Children’s Theatre Group. It was a wonderful way to leave!

Judy will be greatly missed for her unstinting enthusiasm and commitment to everything concerned with Spotlight, from the initial auditions through to the shows, talent contests and right down to the children’s after-show parties.

We are looking forward to seeing Judy in the audience for the next show.

Congratulations must also be given to the rest of the Spotlight team for a wonderful show, and good luck to Kevin Honour for future Spotlight productions.
