Thanks from Battel Bonfire Boyes and let’s look to next year

ON BEHALF of all the Battel Bonfire Boyes I should like to thank all who contributed to making Bonfire 2011 a resounding success.

Particular thanks, in no particular order, is due to the following people: David Hussey, Mick Hoad, John Southam, Hastings Hire, The Kings Head, The Bull Inn, Taylors Fish Bar, Battle Butchers, The Road Sweepers, Battle Rubbish Drummers, Battle Muffins, The Young Farmers and all the individuals who assisted by marshalling, collecting for charity and catering.

We will hold a full thank you afternoon in January to recognise all those who help make Battel Bonfire happen.

Congratulations to the winners of our fancy dress parade!

A big well done to Blue Petratis Williams for her Guy.

Not only was it the winner of the Guy competition and was burnt on the Bonfire in pride of place on the Green, but Blue managed to raise a total of £40.98 towards Bonfire 2012!

The second prize winner was announced on the night but did not claim their prize. Please contact me on [email protected].
