Waste of money
Hear, hear to D. H. Bailey’s letter (Gazette, February 27) about the ‘bandstand’. What a waste of money.
First of all, it is too small and secondly, where is the audience going to sit? In a concrete car park, Banjo Road! Why didn’t they build it on The Green, where everybody could relax, spread out, and enjoy a picnic while listening to or watching a performance?
What a shame Littlehampton could have a beautiful seafront, but instead has a rust bucket of a café, the longest bench that is so uncomfortable, it is only used as a climbing frame for children, no shelters for protection from the wind and now a stage that is not fit for the purpose.
