Pancake flippin’ fun for plucky Arundel pupils
On Tuesday (March 4), youngsters from the Arundel CE Primary School, in Jarvis Road, spent some of the day making and flipping pancakes as part of the site’s Shrove Tuesday celebrations.
After finishing the pancakes, the youngsters then had the chance to decorate and tuck into their creations inside the school’s hall.

The day raised about £120 which is being donated to Arundel’s sister school, in Mano Dasse, Sierra Leone.
Head teacher Andrew Simpson said: “The children were really excited and had the opportunity to taste their own cuisine. One child said it was an amazing opportunity and we are so lucky our local supermarket supported us to help our school in Sierra Leone.”
Mr Simpson said the cash would help to pay for about 12 children in Africa to attend school.
He wished to thank Sainsbury’s for its support throughout the day.
