Parked cars broken into in Hastings and St Leonards

Several cars were broken into in the early hours of this morning (Friday, August 12).

Police said at about 6.20am officers received a report of criminal damage in which a Skoda Octavia taxi had its driver’s side window smashed in Chapel Park Road, St Leonards.

The incident is being linked to two further ones which were reported to police at 5.02am today.

The vehicles in question, a black Peugeot 207 and a silver Audi, also had their windows smashed in White Rock Road.

The suspects have been described as a group of youths wearing hoodies.

Anyone who witnessed either of the incidents, or who has any information, is asked to contact [email protected] or call 101, quoting serial 200 of 12/08.
