On April 1, workers, visitors and residents are invited to see the results of work intended to help raise the profile of the street.

It has included hanging signs, new planters and sculptures being installed by Chichester Business Improvement District.

The BID and The Novium Museum are hosts for the event, which runs from 10am - 4pm, which will see local businesses provide themed food, goodies and vouchers.

Charlotte Wickins, BID Manager, said: “Crane Street offers a varied shopping experience, hosting a variety of individual, quirky and independent businesses and we want to celebrate that.

“We hope this event encourages everyone to appreciate our wonderful Roman heritage – and, importantly, to explore Crane Street and have fun whilst they’re doing it – there’ll be plenty to see and do!”

A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 12.30pm, for more information visit visit
