There were seven winners of the Civic Awards and one winner of the ‘Young Citizen’s Award’. Also to be recognised were a number of community groups, with three being given the ‘Community Award’ and the ‘Local Historic Interest’ award, whilst one group was given the ‘Heritage Award’ and another was honoured with a ‘Blue Plaque’.

East Pallant House won the Blue Plaque for its connection with William Burnett pioneering naval surgeon of the 18th Century who lived in East Pallant House. Physician- General to the Royal Navy and physician-in ordinary to King William IV

New Park Centre was one of the winners of the Local Historic Interest Awards. Given to groups which have buildings in the city that have a historic local link and worthy of recognition.
