Community groups come together to make Bognor Regis a better place

A range of community groups from across our town came together yesterday (October 13) to discuss strategies for helping those most in need.

Representatives from Grandads Front Room, Food Equally Distributed (FED), Family Support Work and more came together at the BRAG centre on West Street to link up, join forces and work together.

The meeting, which also involved councillors from Bersted Parish Council, Bognor Regis Town Council and West Sussex County Council, took place at the BRAG centre on West Street. Community Interest Company Grandads Front Room have used the centre, opposite the food bank, as an extra space for community outreach work over the last four weeks.

Organisers hope that, by hosting events like this, community groups like Grandads Front Room can begin to provide more comprehensive, better coordinated support to vulnerable members of the community.

"Coming together and sharing knowledge will help us build a stronger and more resilient community,” a Grandads Front Room spokesperson said of the event.
