The Sussex Snowdrop Trust’s #skip4snowdrop campaign was launched by Judge Rinder to help raise money for the charity which provides nursing care at home for children with a life-threatening or terminal illness.

Members of The Collective South Coast members have embraced the challenge in a series of online skipping videos which can be viewed on social media.

“This summer has brought the challenge of charity fundraising without gatherings and events.

“We have been totally blown away by the positivity, determination and innovation demonstrated by The Sussex Snowdrop Trust.

“It has inspired us all to fundraise individually for the charity and then to get involved with the wonderful skip4snowdrop campaign.“

Fellow co-founder Helen Hoile said: “One of our members, JBS Design, offered to produce the graphics for the campaign.

“This period of uncertainty and change has emphasised the importance of connections whether in virtual meetings or via social media platforms.

“At The Collective, our members continue to inspire each other and forge community connections that feed our wellbeing and business journey.

“We hope that many people join in and make a difference this summer with #skip4snowdrop.”

The Sussex Snowdrop Trust supports about 70 families across the area who are among the most vulnerable in the county.

These families have been shielded for long periods and have experienced high degrees of anxiety, which their counsellors have supported them through.

During the lockdown, nurses have continued to provide vital support and advice in full PPE or remotely online.

Many children have missed their nurse support workers, so they created puppet shows and storytelling sessions to entertain them online.
