At the Sackville Apartments, in De La Warr Parade, dozens of people gathered at a safe distance to clap for the carers.
The event coincided with the national Clap For Carers movement which sees people show their appreciation to NHS staff and key workers on the front line of the coronavirus pandemic.
It has been held at 8pm on Thursdays for the past few weeks.
