Fairlight End Open Gardens: Chris and Robin Hutt are again opening their garden at Fairlight End on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June from 11am till 5pm. Charities benefitting from this include Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Cancer Care and our own Pett Village Hall.

Anyone who can support this event with a cake, please bring it to Fairlight End before 10am on either day. Any containers need to be marked with your name for collection after the event. Visitors from far and wide comment on the superiority of Pett baked cakes!

Pett Flower Show: Pett Flower Show, another extremely popular annual event, is not too far away now. It will be held on Saturday July 25 at the Recreation Ground and this year’s theme is Pets. This is the theme for both handicraft and painting and the photographic subject is Pet(t) animals, which should provide plenty of scope for the creative amongst us.

This day is very much run by the village for the village and everyone can contribute, no matter how much or how little. Volunteers are always needed throughout the day from the preparation to the clearing up.
