POLEGATE DRAMA GROUP: Next production of a Murder Mystery Evening will take place today, Friday, Dying for a Drink. Tomorrow, Saturday, Death at the Shangri-La. Tickets for both productions are now on sale £8 per person and £15 per person for both shows at Archer and Partners, High Street, telephone 483348. Please bring your own food and drink.

COFFEE MORNING: The coffee morning tomorrow, Saturday, is hosted by Centre Fund raising. There will also be stalls, homemade marmalade and bric-a-brac. Summer Hamper tickets will be drawn. All proceeds to Polegate Community Centre. All welcome from 10am to noon.

WALKS: Tomorrow, Saturday, Vines Cross Return, linear 5 miles with Mavis M. Meet at Horam Car Park 10.15am bus 51, 9.23am Terminus Road stand H to Brewers Arms. Flat walking in fields and lane, but 10 stiles. Return buses half hourly. On Sunday, Summertime Blues, 9.5 miles with Bob B. Meet at the Avenue 9am, walk starts at Plumpton Railway station10am or catch 8.59am train from Eastbourne Railway Station to Plumpton Railway Station. Leader at start.

ANNUAL SHOW: Organized by Stud Farm and Allotment and Garden Society is taking place tomorrow, Saturday, at 2pm on the lawns. Fruit and retables on show. Prize giving takes place at 3.45pm. Visitors welcome.

NEW FOR 2016: Afternoon tea at Spa Valley Railway on Saturdays August 13 and 25. Tea consists of sandwiches, scones, jam and cream, cakes, tea or coffee and a train ride to either Eridge on Saturday or Groombridge on Thursday. LADIES CIRCLE: No meeting in August for Ladies Circle, back again in September.

STUD FARM ALLOTMENT SOCIETY: The Show tomorrow, Saturday, from 2pm to 4.30pm will be held in the Marquee on the Lawns, Hyperion Avenue, Polegate and we are very lucky to have Daniel and Stephen Shing to present the prizes at the end of the day, with attendance also from The Mayor Cllr David Watts and the Deputy Mayor Cllr Margaret Piper. There will be stalls such as handicrafts, books, puzzles, plants and produce, home made cakes and refreshments available throughout. You will be able to wander through the exhibited items from the Allotments & Gardens of Stud Farm and we have quizzes and games for all. Please do come along and support us and perhaps even consider joining the Society at only £2 per year it is well worth it
