Hastings store’s licensing hearing over counterfeit wine allegations delayed
On Thursday (January 28), a Hastings Borough Council licensing panel had been due to consider an application to revoke the alcohol sales licence of Four Seasons Supermarket in Bohemia Road.
However, the meeting has been adjourned as there was not a translator present to assist with the proceedings. Hastings Borough Council say the hearing is to be rescheduled in the near future.

Hide AdThe application for revoke the supermarket’s licence comes from East Sussex Trading Standards, after its officers allegedly found bottles of counterfeit wine on the premises.
Trading Standards say the issue is so serious the premises should have its licence revoked.
However, this view is disputed by the business, which calls on the panel to take a more lenient approach, as revoking the licence would be a “disproportionate and inappropriate response.”
