The Robertsbridge Aviation Society Grand Book Sale is this Sunday 29th June at Bush Barn TN325PA. Open from 11am – 5pm the museum will be displaying its new WW1 exhibits. Light refreshments are available during the day with free admission and free parking. Donations to the upkeep of the museum are welcome.

Robertsbridge jazz Club will be meeting again on Thursday 10th July at Robertsbridge Hall between 8pm-10.30pm. This month they are proud to present international jazz singer Liane Carroll and her trio. Tickets are £10 and can be bought from Judges Bakery. Football: The A.G.M. of the Robertsbridge Charity Cup will be on Monday 14th July 2014 at 7.30p.m. @ Robertsbridge Club. All are welcome to attend.

R.U.F.C.: The A.G.M. of Robertsbridge United Football Club wil be on Monday 21st July 2014 at 7.30p.m. @ Robertsbridge Club. Training starts at The Recreation Ground on Wednesday 16th July 2014.

Stoolball: The Mixed played against Icklesham last Thursday[19th] with the visitors batting first Sophie Turner caught loan player Alan Apps[9] from JJ Boast’[1-9] bowling but a second wicket partnership of 66 between Julie[30] and Tristan[51] was broken when Julie was run out and then in the same over Shona[3] was bowled by Keith Apps[1-5]. Tristan was finally out in the 10th over caught by Keith from Josh Lewis’[1-12] bowling but Karen[17n.o.] and Toby[18n.o.] saw the visitors finish on 137-4. Once again we failed to get going with Graham Clark[15], Penny Clark[3], Melinda Mackay[7], Keith[0], Ian Kitson[2] and Sophie[0] all out by the end of the fourth over with the score at 28-6 and when Richard Apps[18] and Josh[0] went in the next over we were on 57-8 but the tail wagged and Sarah Clark[42], Shawn Green[14], Claire Hatter[0] and JJ[22n.o.] almost getting us victory finishing on 131. On Sunday[29th] the Mixed are at Staplecross Tournament(10a.m.) while on Tuesday[1st July] the Ladies are at Hooe(7pm.) and on Thursday[3rd] the Mixed are at home to Pett(7pm).

Fishing: The season has started so may I remind you that you must have a Rod Licence and a Rother Fisheries Licence if you wish to fish he Rother. R.F.L. is available from Alan Apps @ £3.50 per person.
