Runners set for Littlehampton beach run

The Arunners club, based in the town, is hosting a five-mile beach run, with a half-mile event for juniors.

It’s the first time the beach race has been held at Littlehampton, having previously been staged at Middleton.

Hundreds of runners from clubs across West Sussex are expected to take part in the run along the foreshore.

The juniors’ event starts at 7pm and the seniors’ race will get under way at 7.30pm. Spectators will be very welcome to watch what should be a colourful and enjoyable occasion.

Over the past two years Arunners’ membership has grown from barely 20 to more than 100, earning the title of most-improved club in the West Sussex Fun Run League three years in a row, together with the coach of the year award.
