Sandhurst Friendship Club helds its AGM on February 3 and had an excellent turn-out of 53 members.

An interesting series of talks have been lined up for 2012 with something for everyone.

Today (Friday March 2) at 2,30pm, a talk, on the Hisotry of Hop Picking, takes place at the Old School Hall, with Richard Filmer.

The parish council holds its next meeting at the Old School on March 13. The Parish Office is open on Mondays and Thursdays between 9.30am and 10.30am when the Clerk Wendy Crayburn will be there. Call 01580 850295.

I was sorry to hear that William Wickstead has died at his home in the village.

William is a young man who we will have good memories of and good memories can help.
