School closures: November 30

The mass walk-out by the main teaching, civil service and other public sector unions is in protest at the Government’s proposed changes to public sector worker’s pensions.

The following schools will be closed to all pupils: Battle and Langton, Beckley, Brede, Burwash, Catsfield, Claverham, Crowhurst, Dallington, Guestling-Bradshaw, Hurst Green, Northiam, Robertsbridge Community College, Rye Community Primary, Sedlescombe and Staplecross.

Rye College will be partly closed and will open for GCSE Photography Controlled Test only.

Claverham Day Nursery in Battle will remain open and Adult Education classes at the college will run as normal.
