School coach catches fire

Fire engines were called to the scene at 6.30pm last night (Friday 18) on the A259 between Harley Shute Road and Seaside Road in Hastings

The coach belongs to Buckswood School, in Guestling near Hastings.

Two other vehicles were involved in the blaze and fire crews were also concerned about damage to three properties in the vicinity.

These dramatic pictures were taken by Mike Dunning, who lives nearby. Fire investigation officers concluded that the fire was an accident.

The road was re-opened at 9.30pm.
