‘Serious accident’ blocks road in the Witterings

The B2179 is reportedly blocked eastbound with slow moving traffic in the area after the accident at the junction with Cakeham Road and Jolliffe Road.

An air ambulance has landed at the scene, reports said.

Bus service provider Stagecoach has warned of diversions.

A spokesperson said: “Buses are currently unable to serve West Wittering due to a serious accident.

“Buses will run from Chichester to Bracklesham and East Wittering but with delays.”
