Snowdrop Trust's magical way to raise money

More than 150 supporters of the Sussex Snowdrop Trust enjoyed an evening of magic and entertainment at Farbridge, West Dean .

The evening's main attraction was magician Bertie Pearce, a member of the Magic Circle and renowned public speaker.

Bertie entertained guests with his intricate magic tricks, hilarious jokes and a speech on the history of magic, accompanied by a slideshow of famous magicians and escapologists.

Before Bertie took to the stage, guests enjoyed canaps provided by the Snowdrop charity's trustees, and wine provided by Brechin Management of South Kensington.

The evening raised more than 2,000 for the trust's work in caring for extremely ill children and their parents.

The trust was particularly grateful to John Mickerson, owner of Farbridge, for allowing the evening to take place in his converted barn free of charge.
