Student praised for amazing fundraising efforts

Chichester student Callum Wadey has amazed charity workers with his fundraising efforts.

Callum, a pupil at Fordwater School, had his head shaved to raise money and awareness for research into cancer.

Gill Chalk, assistant manager at the Cancer Research UK shop in South Street, Chichester, said: “Callum raised an incredible £526 through sponsorship.

“This was a fabulous achievement and was supported so well by all in his school, friends and family.

“He wanted to do something as close relatives in his family had been lost to this disease.”

The cheque was presented to Yvonne O’Connor, Cancer Research UK’s area manager, last week.
