Talented quartet behind global greetings from Littlehampton

Four creative children from Littlehampton are helping to spread Christmas cheer across the globe.

Isabella Rittman, seven, Samantha Maysey, eight, Taylor Hazell, six, and Naveena Pradeesh, 11, won Littlehampton mayor Emma Neno’s Christmas card competition for their festive designs.

The quartet have since had their drawings printed on about 400 cards which have been sent to dignitaries the world over by Emma, carrying her good wishes from Littlehampton.

Some of the cards will reach mayors in Germany and France, as well as the mayor of Littlehampton... in New South Wales, Australia.

Emma said judging the competition had been difficult, as more than 100 entries from four primary schools across the town took part.

“The range of designs was incredible,” she said. “They were all different and it was very difficult to decide who the winners would be.

“All the drawings really were fantastic.”

Emma said that she surprised the winners during a lesson at the schools.

She presented them with vouchers for The Works and a free ride on the horse-drawn carriage at last month’s Christmas lights switch-on in Littlehampton.

“The kids were really shocked when I visited them personally. It was a lovely moment. It was like something out of This Is Your Life,” said Emma,
