Talk on Gunpowder Plot

RYE and District University of the Third Age follows its AGM on Monday afternoon with a talk by Laton Frewen on the Gun Powder Plot.

The AGM takes place at Rye Community Centre at 2pm.

The U3A is a thriving organisation for people who are no longer in full time employment, there are 865 branches and approximately 300,000 members in the UK. They meet at the Community Centre at 2pm on the third Monday of every month.

June Hyson said: “We have 27 different interest groups meeting at different times throughout the month and are always open to new suggestions and ideas.

“New members are very welcome – come and join us to share a range of educational, creative and leisure activities. Membership costs just £12 a year.”
