Tesco evacuated as fire breaks out
SHOPPERS were evacuated after smoke started to pour into Tesco Express on Battle Hill, Battle.
Firefighters were called to the scene just after 2pm on Wednesday (September 9).
The smoke was found to be coming from a refrigerator unit.
Crews put out the fire and damage was contained to the unit. The shop reopened a short while later.
