the danger of drivers usingLane rat run

EVERY few days I visit a friend in Limmer Lane, Felpham.

I have noticed the ever-present speeding traffic in Limmer Lane has got very much worse over the past two weeks.

The lane is narrow, winding and has no pavements and is used by many children going to and from school.

The increase in traffic is because of impatient people using Limmer Lane as a rat-run instead of taking their turn at the temporary lights on the A259.

The refurbishment of the lights at the A259/Felpham Road junction is to take ten weeks. Why?

During this time how can the WSCC and police allow heavy lorries down Limmer Lane, most of which seem to be speeding?

It has been noticed that Felpham's county councillor George Blampead has been very quiet on the subject.

The whole situation is a mess and the WSCC and police need to take the situation more seriously '“ if not, we'll see a dead child on Limmer Lane.
