THREE ARRESTS IN CANNABIS RAID

POLICE smashed through a wall to gain access to a cannabis cafe after being unable to breach a second steel door, that formed part of an air-lock system.

Three local men were arrested for alleged drug offences in the raid on the cafe in Freshbrook Road, Lancing, on Thursday evening.

The men, who are all in their 30s, were arrested at the scene.

They have now been bailed pending further enquires.

Detective inspector Simon Harsley said the amount of drugs seized was not a huge quantity.

He thought the total value of the drugs was more likely to be hundreds rather than the thousands of pounds.

"It took us a few minutes to get in and I believe a lot of drugs will have been burnt."
