To qualify for a Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, on TripAdvisor reviews, and must have been listed on the site for at least 12 months.

Additional criteria include the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months.

Among the 1066 Country attractions to receive the accolade are Bateman’s at Burwash, Bodiam Castle, Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, Sedlescombe Golf Hotel and the James Andrews School of Golf.

They said: ‘We make every attempt to provide our guests with the very best in hospitality so that they can take home happy memories of their time spent in Rye.

“We are therefore delighted to receive, yet again, Trip Advisor’s Certificate of Excellence in recognition of our efforts in looking after our guests at Oaklands in the way that we do.”

Oaklands joins a host of award winning accommodation providers, among which number English Rose B&B, Bexhill, Seaspray B&B, Hastings and Kester House, Sedlescombe.
