Cyclist who died after Horsham collision named by police

The cyclist who died following a collision with a car in Kerves Lane, Horsham yesterday (Monday December 8) has been named by police.

He is Michael Dixon, 65, of Trundle Mead, Horsham.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said Mr Dixon was cycling south when the collision with the silver Citroen happened. He died at the scene.

The spokesperson added: “Police have now charged a man who has given his name as Luigi Dannile, 26, of Broadwater Lane, Copsale, with causing death by dangerous driving, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.”

He was remanded in custody to appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Wednesday December 10).
