Major Eastbourne road is closed both ways

Lottbridge Drove is shut from Cross Levels Way roundabout to Seaside, according to traffic reports.

Emergency services are at the scene, at what is understood to be an oil spill.

East Sussex Highways said on social media, “It looks like the closure will be in place until this evening.

“Please use alternative routes until the closure has been removed. Thank you.”

The incident was first reported at about 1pm.
