The AA said it first received a report of the collision on the A283 Steyning Bypass between the A27 Shoreham Bypass (Steyning turn off) and the A2037 Shoreham Road at around 2.38pm today (Sunday, September 3).
The collision has impacted traffic in both directions, the AA added.
