Sheep on train line causes delays between Eastbourne and Lewes
Twenty sheep on the train line at Selmeston have caused delays between Eastbourne and Lewes.
Southern Railway said anyone travelling on the line should allow for an extra 15-20 minutes to complete their journey.
A spokesperson for Southern Railway said, “Animals on the railway between Eastbourne and Lewes means that trains must run at a reduced speed. As a result, trains may be cancelled or delayed by up to 10 minutes.”
The line has now been cleared.
