Wisborough Green woman suffers broken leg in crash

A Wisborough Green woman suffered a broken leg after her car left the road and collided with a tree yesterday (Monday March 9).

The crash happened at about 6.15pm on the A272 between Petworth and Wisborough Green, about 60 metres east of its junction with Wakestone Lane.

The woman, 26, was cut out of her green Isuzu Rodeo by firefighters.

Police said she was seriously injured and was taken to Guildford Hospital. Her injuries included a ‘badly fractured left leg’, police added.

The A272 was closed for more than three hours while the incident was dealt with.
