UKIP councillor resigns Adur council seat to retire
Paul Graysmark and his wife Laura have represented the Southlands ward between the two of them since 2000.
Mr Graysmark was on the council from 2000 to 2004 and from 2012 until present, while Mrs Graysmark served from 2004 to 2008.

Hide AdHe said: “I regret the timing and putting the residents of Southlands through a by-election however the time has come to move on. It has been an honour and a privilege. We wish all the people of Adur well for the future.”
He was leader of the UKIP group on the council.
The other Southlands seat at Adur is held by Labour councillor Lavinia O’Connor.
The council is controlled by the Conservatives who hold 16 seats, compared to seven for Labour, and three for UKIP following Mr Graysmark’s departure.
There are also two independents.
