Video: Heavy police presence in Fiveways as woman 'seriously injured'

A man '˜surrendered himself to police' before leading them to a seriously injured woman in Fiveways, Sussex Police has said.

Police officers and investigators have been at the scene at Sandgate Road, Brighton since around 6.30am this morning (October 26).

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “A man has been arrested after surrendering himself to police in Brighton on Thursday morning (October 26).

“The man, in his 50s, called police from outside John Street police station shortly after 6am. Information that he provided led police to a house in Sandgate Road, Brighton, where officers discovered a woman with serious injuries.

“No further details are available at this time.”
