Volunteers needed at country park

Catherine James, visitor services manager said: 'We receive tens of thousands of visitors each year and volunteers are kept busy helping to run the centre and dealing with enquiries ranging from where to walk to history and the best pubs to visit.

'Now we want more enthusiastic people to join us.'

New volunteers will receive training and support from members of staff.

Duties will include providing information about the area, promoting the spectacular and internationally important protected landscape of the South Downs and running a small gift shop.

There is also the opportunity to help develop a busy activities and events programme (full training and uniform will be provided.)
