'We need to be flexible to survive'
When the Post Office closed for business in May, Derek and Jill Williams (above) decided to take their shop's destiny into their own hands rather than accepting one of the many schemes offered by Post Office Limited.
Mr Williams said: "We're doing all right so far, but as time goes on we'll have to try selling different things to see how they do."

Mr and Mrs Williams are aware that in the coming months they will have to be flexible and willing to experiment with new products as the seasons change.
The shop is extending its line of greeting cards and toys, and now sells a variety of lady's bags which are also proving popular.
Mrs Williams said the wide selection of sweets behind the counter are a real hit with people of all ages, and not just children on their way home from school.
She said: 'People like to reminisce.'
They hope the variety of treats will bring in Christmas shoppers, and are looking forward to stocking the shop with an assortment of festive products.
