Matt Williams, 36, swam 750 metres towing his seven-year-old goddaughter, Tilly, in a dinghy, cycled 20km with his two-year-old son, Noah, on the back of his bike before running 5km while pushing Noah in a buggy.

He undertook the fundraiser in aid of two-year-old Arthur Knight, from Hailsham, who needs a specialist wheelchair, which costs £5,000. So far, Matt has raised more than £2,400.

Matt said: “Arthur had a complicated birth with a clot, causing him to suffer a stroke before being born, as well as damaging one of his kidneys. On top of dealing with the after effects of the stroke, at five months old, Arthur developed a rare form of epilepsy. His seizures resulted in severe developmental delays, both physically and cognitively. He is in desperate need of a specialist wheelchair. Unfortunately, the cost has proved prohibitive for the Knights with the NHS only able to fund a 10th of it.”
