Worthing firefighters ready for annual open day
The station is teaming up with the Broadwater Carnival for an open day on Saturday July 23.
The joint event will be held at Worthing Fire Station on Ardsheal Road and on Broadwater Green and will allow people to talk to emergency responders about their work and get advice on staying safe at home and on the road.

Hide AdWorthing station’s annual open day is one of the biggest of its kind on the south coast and attracts thousands of people every year.
Darren Wickings, watch manager at Worthing Station and coordinator of the open day, said:
“Hosting a Fire Station Open Day is a brilliant way for us to get to know our local community”.
“We put an enormous amount of effort into the day to ensure that people have a fantastic time but also come away with some potentially life-saving information and advice.”

Hide AdFirefighters will be joined by colleagues from South East Coast Ambulance Service, Sussex Police, the Resilience and Emergencies team and the Red Cross’ Fire Emergency Support Unit.
The free event runs between 10am and 4pm with all proceeds going to The Fire Fighters Charity and other selected local charities.
