Worthing's Royal visitpo

Princess Alexandra was in Worthing last week to open the new £4.4 million accomodation wing at Queen Alexandra Hospital Home in Boundary Road.

The princess, who is the home's president was greeted by the Mayor of Worthing Nick John and residents and staff of the home, which provides nursing care for physically disabled ex-service men and women. Princess Alexandra was also joined by the Lord Lieutenant of West Sussex Hugh Wyatt and Lady Sarah Clutton.

The home's chairman Rear Admiral Richard Irwin, chief executive John Paxman and director of nursing Valerie Walker took the princess on a tour of the wing which was specifically designed for the physically disabled.
