Another Rebels fan calls for change

From Rebels Mailbox

Dear Sir,

AS A lifelong Worthing supporter I am astonished that the club officials were not planning for relegation. Having sat in the stands for the past 20 years I have made many friends and we all knew in January that the club would be playing in Ryman League One South next sesason.

What hurts the most is that the club has no passion or desire to move forward. Even after Mr Pook spoke this week, I still felt "We have heard it all before".

The board has lost many of the volunteers and helpers. Following the full-time whistle after the game that relegated Rebels this month, against Harrow Borough, the booing that rang around the ground was one of the worst have witnessed.

So I beg the club: so something right now. Realise that we need young blood through the club, we need enthusiasm, new volunteers, and the Worthing FC Supporters Club needs to be reformed.

A very upset and depressed fan.

Mr T. Johnson,

St Lawrence Avenue, Worthing.
