ANOTHER SEVEN FOR MULLEN

A CAPTAIN'S performance by Arundel's Steve Mullen kept his side top of the Invitation League with a four-wicket success at promoted Goring on Saturday afternoon.

Goring had looked on course for a big score at 84-1, but lost their final nine wickets for the addition of just 37 runs '“ the last seven realising only 15. They tumbled to 121 all out, which is rarely likely to win you a match, especially in Saturday's sunshine.

Mullen picked his way through the Goring batting to take 7-36 in 16.3 overs and made his personal haul 19 in the last three matches following 8-21 against Burgess Hill and 4-50 in last week's victory over Findon. With two wickets falling to run-outs, the other bowler to claim a scalp was Neil Mustard who got rid of top-scorer Chris Bird for 33.
