BEN ENJOYS HIGH LIFE AT WIMBLEDON
BUDDING tennis player Ben Blackwell (13) from Twineham had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play on the famous grass courts of Wimbledon last week.
The week saw the prestigious National 14 and Under Challenge held at the All England Club as part of the 'Road to Wimbledon' junior tennis initiative as players battled it out for the title from Monday to Saturday.
Over 15,000 youngsters entered this year's competition, which began with closed singles events at local clubs and schools followed by the winners qualifying for their county finals.
From this stage, 44 county winners and the 20 best runners-up all qualified for the event.
