Bexhill hit the heights

BEXHILL United surged up to the dizzy heights of fourth position in Sussex Division Three with a comfortable 5-0 win away to bottom-of-the-table Bosham.

After winning the corresponding home fixture 13-0 just a couple of months previously, United understandably approached the match in positive fashion and took the lead after only 10 minutes through Sam Rimmer.

Ian Rise opened his account for the club on 26 minutes and claimed his second just nine minutes later. Rimmer held off two defenders to bag his second and United's fourth five minutes before half time.

Substitute Ray Bage completed the scoring midway through the second half by getting on the end of a Benji Symes corner.
