Champions by a point

EAST PRESTON Cricket Club are the Division 4 champions after they lifted the title by just a point from Wisborough Green.

They will now play Clymping next season, after Horsham Trinity secured second place in Division 3 with a six-wicket win at St Andrew's.

EP lost their final game at home to Chippingdale but the 13 points they got were enough to lift them above Wisborough Green, who got 11 points in their abandoned game with Southwater.

Going into the game, EP needed 12 points to be sure of promotion and found out late in Chippingdale's reply that if they got six wickets they would be champions because Wisborough's game had been stopped.
