Cup is Sidley's last hope of silverware

SIDLEY United entertain Chichester City United on Saturday March 2 with their title hopes in ruins following a midweek defeat at the hands of Ringmer.

The Blues are still in with a chance of lifting some silverware however, as they continue their defence of the John O'Hara League Cup on Tuesday with a semi-final clash against Horsham YMCA at Burgess Hill.

Joint manager Peter Heritage said: "The league has probably gone now but we'll still be looking to finish as high as we can. We can't afford a similar performance to the Ringmer game because we don't want our season to be over by mid-March.

"The league cup is our best chance of silverware but Horsham will be a very tough game.

"Something is not right and Glen (Sully) and myself need to sit down and come up with some answers and possibly bring in some fresh faces."

Doubtful for the games are Bradley Poole, Paul Sully and Adam Day.
