EP's season boils down to final game

EAST PRESTON Football Club's defeat at Shoreham on Monday has left them with a crunch game at third-bottom Redhill on Saturday. EP must avoid defeat to ensure they finish out of the bottom three.

With the FA looking to re-structure leagues, EP will have to make sure they finish out of the bottom three to ensure Division 1 football next season. Teams on the border of Sussex may be allowed to enter the County League if certain plans go ahead for next season.

However, St Francis Rangers are unlikely to be promoted from Division 2 and Horsham YMCA are joining the Ryman League, meaning Redhill and EP could both survive.

EP boss Mark Chaplin said: "It's going to be a big game on Saturday now.

"We are going to need everyone up for it. The whole season is going to come down to this one game.

"I'll think about which system to play '” whether to go 4-4-2 and play a bit more defensive or stick with 3-5-2."
