Fernhurst stages its own version of quick cricket

Fernhurst Cricket Club are hosting a six-a-side tournament on Monday, May 30 and teams from the host club, Ryan’s All-Stars, Haslemere, Kingsley, Steep, Tangmere, Linford, Liss, Rowledge and Liphook are all due to take part.

They will be divided into two groups for round-robin play before the group winners and runners-up play each other to decide the champions.

It’s non-stop cricket all day from 10.30 and matches are three overs each, with three different players having to bowl an over each. As one team comes off the next is already walking out.

A barbecue, bar and a raffle are all planned and spectators are welcome.
