Brighton fans were in great voice before the match and were by far the louder set of supporters as the two teams went head to head for the right to face Manchester City in the final next month.

Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi, speaking to BBC One: "It's a special day for us but we are focused on the game. We have a lot of fans and we want to play a great game.

"United is a big team and we are fighting to become a great team also. We will play with our quality. We need to show our quality and mentality.
